Oh man this is awesome. Why am I just finding out about this now?

Finally, some good news in the paper.
Boston.com / News / Odds & ends / Fish bowl blast puts out fire; Fish OK
Got this for myself after Christmas, almost done. I highly recommend it. Plus, it's dirt cheap.

This guy kicks serious Victorian scientific butt. I wish he was alive today, so he could see the amazing breakthroughs we have made in science and medicine. If course, he would be like 200 and something years old, and would have to take overnight bus trips to Canada to buy the prescription drugs he needed to stay alive.

Looks like I won't have to travel for the month of Feb. Wahoo!
Had some wings last night at Wendell's in Norton. Man they were good. Also put a couple of bucks in the jukebox...haven't done that in a while. Let's see if I can remember what I played. Two bucks gets six songs.
Before You Accuse Me - Clapton Unplugged
Deacon Blues - Steely Dan
Runaway Train - Soul Asylum
Baby Please Don't Go - Van Morrison
Omaha - Counting Crows
I'll admit that there's some sentimental crap in there, but as jukeboxes go, it wasn't that bad. Damn what was the other one? Those were really good wings.
Working from home today. It's snowing. I already shoveled twice. F -that, I'm waiting till it really stops this time.
Going to a window-rehab workshop this weekend...should be interesting. We've been doing some work on our house...check it out on the "Where I Live" link to the right...or check out this action photo of me replacing a sash cord:

Back at home. In the office today. It's very cold here.
While I was in Dallas, I finished reading one of my Christmas presents -
Striper Surf - Frank Daignault
Man, that really put me in the mood. Hit up one of the big tackle shops in Dallas for some
plugs to try out this spring. Looks like it might be a while, though...since there's ice in the canal.

Been listening to a lot of Muddy Waters lately...the "Folk Singer" album from the 60's and the newish "His Best" one from the Chess masters...and really digging him. This dude picked cotton for the first half of his life and ate ice cream and chased women the second half, and you can really hear it in the music. The production on the Folk Singer album is just incredible. You can hear the "air" around the strings as they play.

Muddy Waters: His Best
I wasn't that into the Chess Masters originally - but it's growing on me. I'm realizing how much MW contributed to the lyrics of the classic rock bands like Zeppelin, and especially the Stones...not that MW necessarily invented all those lyrics...but he learned them, lived with them, and perpetuated them.

So,this is what I have to put up with to get a drink around here. I wish I'd read that before I went driving around looking for beer for an hour.

I guess it doesn't matter if I keep doing this all night, does it?
I got this for my birthday last year and I've been listening to it a lot.

I am not really sure why I am doing this. Perhaps I am subconsciously worried that I'm not wasting enough time surfing the net and emailing random stuff to people. Or, perhaps I know that I _do_ do that, and feel guilty about it. Perhaps, as a result of this guilt, I want to turn this barrage of e-flotsam myself...yeah...I can just start sending all that random stuff to my blog, and if people want to see it, they can. I won't be cluttering up their inboxes with Aaron-spam. We'll see.
