Been listening to a lot of Muddy Waters lately...the "Folk Singer" album from the 60's and the newish "His Best" one from the Chess masters...and really digging him. This dude picked cotton for the first half of his life and ate ice cream and chased women the second half, and you can really hear it in the music. The production on the Folk Singer album is just incredible. You can hear the "air" around the strings as they play.

I wasn't that into the Chess Masters originally - but it's growing on me. I'm realizing how much MW contributed to the lyrics of the classic rock bands like Zeppelin, and especially the Stones...not that MW necessarily invented all those lyrics...but he learned them, lived with them, and perpetuated them.
